Maury B. Berger, M.D., F.A.C.P. is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He is also certified by the International Board of Clinical and Applied Thrombosis, Hemostasis and Vascular Medicine and is a fellow in that organization. In addition, Dr. Berger is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the Society for Vascular Medicine and Biology. Dr. Berger is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School and completed his specialty training at the University of Wisconsin, Medical College of Wisconsin and Cook County Medical Center. Prior to joining Ocala Oncology, Dr. Berger was in private practice in Milwaukee, was on the teaching faculty at the University of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin, and was a part time attending physician in hematology at Cook County Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Berger has a strong interest in lung cancer, coagulation disorders, anemia, and supportive care issues for cancer patients and their families. He is also a lecturer for the Academy for Health Care Education, speaking on a variety of oncology and hematology subjects. He is in the clinical affiliate program with Moffitt Cancer Center and is a member of the Executive Breast Cancer Advisory Council for Novartis Oncology. Dr. Berger serves as Chairman of the Ocala Regional Medical Center Cancer Committee. Dr. Berger joined Ocala Oncology in May 2001 and is pleased to be able to be a part of the Ocala Oncology team and to be of service to the community. |
