Mathew Miceli, M.D.

Dr. Mathew Miceli is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine. He is also board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners. He completed his undergraduate education, earning a Bachelor of Science in biology at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He then attended the Department of Anatomy at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Miceli then completed his medical degree at John Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. Dr. Miceli completed an internship and residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He later took a year of transplant medicine at the Department of Hematology at West Penn Hospital, also in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He then did two years of fellowship in oncology at Allegheny General Hospital, also in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He has a particular interest in general oncology, including the treatment of lung, breast and colon cancer. He is the second author of one paper, which involved studying the synthesis of protein by host-free reticulate bodies of chlamydia psittaci and chlamydia trachomatis.

Dr. Miceli is currently involved in research protocols at Ocala Oncology Center. He has affiliations with Ocala Regional Medical Center and Munroe Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Miceli lives in Ocala with his wife.
