Laboratory Technicians and Phlebotomists
Our in-house clinical laboratory is staffed by highly trained technicians and phlebotomists. The laboratory is licensed by the State of Florida and CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) and inspected and certified by COLA (Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation).
Front Office Coordinator
Ocala Oncology coordinators oversee all functions of the front office. They assist the staff in serving the needs of our patients. If there are issues with patient accounts, scheduling or records, front office coordinators are there to resolve them before they become problems.
Medical Records Specialists
The Ocala Oncology medical record team keeps our clinic organized as they sort and file all incoming and outgoing patient information. This includes patient test results, dictations and correspondence
Patient Financial Counselors
Counselors meet with patients to review financial responsibilities. Their goal is to help patients understand their insurance benefits related to care received in our offices. The counselor will facilitate the referrals and pre-certifications required for visits and treatments.
Receptionist
The first smile received is usually from one of our receptionists as they greet patients. They ensure that all of the necessary paperwork is filled out for our records, and they inform the clinical staff of patients' arrival for appointments. In some clinics, the receptionists also answers the telephone, relays messages and schedules appointments.
Ocala Oncology schedulers set up appointment times for patients coming to our clinics. Appointments are made for a physician, chemotherapy, supportive care, and laboratory visits. They also make appointments for patients at other health care facilities for tests ordered by our providers.
